Blackstone Resources held Ordinary Annual General Meeting

BAAR, Switzerland – (6 June 2019) – Blackstone Resources AG (SWX: BLS; STU: 4BR, FRA: 4BR, BEB: 4BR) (“Blackstone”) held an Ordinary Annual General Meeting on June 5th, 2019 at the ParkHotel in Zug, Switzerland. 

During the ordinary annual general meeting all following proposals from the board were approved by a large majority quorum: (44 shareholders or 43.5 % of all shares were present or represented)

1. Change the Statutory Articles of Association

The Articles of Association have been approved in order to update and adjust according the new laws and regulations.

2. Annual report 2018

Acceptance and receipt of the annual reports.

Blackstone’s annual report outlines further progress in the exploration and refining of battery metals as well as the development of battery technology and production during 2018.

Lithium Chile
Blackstone Resources Chile SpA, a subsidiary of BLS, entered an agreement to define an exclusive strategic alliance with a national partner to explore its many concessions for possible lithium resources.

Cobalt Canada
A participation of BLS, First Cobalt, will commission its primary cobalt North American refinery.  Glencore has signed a memorandum of understanding to supply cobalt feedstock to First Cobalt.

Rare Earth /Gold Norway
Substantial geological work took place in Norway, through BLS’ subsidiary BS Norway Ltd. Its geological team visited three sites and collected five hundred samples that are currently being analysed. They conducted this programme in close collaboration with the University of Exeter, UK.

Molybdenum Mongolia
The subsidiary in Mongolia has commenced its exploration drilling programme. 2,000 meters were drilled along the strike extent of where historic data and studies indicated significant resources of molybdenum, copper and gold.

Gold Peru
The gold milling refinery in Peru has received the final operation approval by the government and is now running at a first phase. The project is an important part of the company’s cashflow strategy, which aims to finance the company’s growth in battery metals and battery technology research.

Battery technology and Battery production
The subsidiary Blackstone Research GmbH in Erfurt Germany plans to invest EUR 200 million into battery production facilities and further research. The company and its project team has submitted a detailed application with a business plan and work programme to the German Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) for access to its battery production subsidy programme.

In December 2018, BLS made its Blackstone Resources Battery Codes (“BBC”) open source. Through its battery technology research, Blackstone Resources has developed an international battery code system that identifies the battery metal mix, chemistry and technology used within various rechargeable batteries and will possibly be adopted worldwide as an industry standard.

3. Financial 2018

Acceptance and report of the Financials 2018 (corporate governance report, consolidated financials 2018 and the statutory financials 2018 with balance sheets and profit and loss account with attachments). Report from the Auditor and the compensation report.

4. Profit and loss amount will be carried forward.

Acceptance to carry forward the loss to next year`s financials.

5. Discharge

Acceptance of the discharge to the board members and the members of the management.

6. Election of the board

All present members of the board have been re-elected individually for one more year.
