The German Innovation Award 2022 goes to Blackstone Technology! (100% subsidiary of Blackstone Resources AG.) The renowned award honours innovative solutions and user-centred products that represent real added value compared to what has gone before. So from these points of view, it was not difficult to convince the jury of our battery technologies. After all, they fulfil all these points of criticism in a sustainable way.
The jury justified their decision to award the prize to Blackstone with words of praise: ” The 3D-printed battery cells from Blackstone have 20 per cent higher energy density than standard lithium-ion batteries and can also be produced in a much more environmentally friendly, sustainable and efficient way. One other notable advantage is the unprecedented flexibility in terms of structural shape. This is not only interesting for the electric vehicle industry but also for manufacturers of battery-operated everyday products that are expected to be as small, manageable and compact as possible. An important milestone on the way to widespread electrification.”
Award ceremony in Berlin
We were there live at the award ceremony in the Futurium in Berlin. Erns Ulrich, CEO and founder of our parent company (Blackstone Resources AG) and CMO & CBDO Serhat Yilmaz were there. In front of the assembled press, they accepted the “Gold” award. Ulrich Ernst: “Our environmentally friendly and particularly energy-efficient production process for high-performance batteries contributes to the success of the energy transition. We are pleased to be making a constructive and sustainable contribution to the energy transition!”
The German Innovation Award thus once again confirms the technical edge of our battery technologies, their environmental compatibility and their innovative character. We will now soon also use our award-winning technology in the production of new solid-state batteries.
